Korean Fir (Abies koreana), an evergreen. South Korean conifer up to 15m tall. It has short, thick, leathery leaves and often produces an abundance of cones, which are very attractive when young. They are initially purple-blue overall and quite squat, but as they mature, they elongate and small creamy yellow wings form the seeds begin to emerge from the cones, which often drip clear resin. There are several cultivars, including dwarf forms. Order: Pinales, Family: Pinaceae
