This is the opening page of our selection of stock pictures of the weeds of cultivation: farm crop weeds and garden weeds. The main weed families are listed separately, while genera of which we have only a few images are listed in the Other Weeds category. If you are unsure of which category the weed image you are looking for may be in, use the search facility at the top of the page.

This worldwide family includes many common weed, such as dandelions and thistles. They may be annual, biennial, perennial or shrubby and often have a strong taproot, which allows them to reshoot when cut back to ground level.
The weeds of the nettle families cover a wide range of growth forms. The true nettles of the genus Urtica bear stinging spines that can make them very unpleasant to deal with.
This widespread family includes perennials, such as the nightshades, and a number of significant shrubby weeds like boxthorn. Their flowers are usually small, predominantly white, purple or yellow and the fruits are often toxic.
Stock photos of crop and garden weeds that are otherwise unclassified. These are mainly families or genera of which we have only a few images.
