Lophostemon is a genus of 4 species of evergreen trees native to Australia and New Guinea. They were formerly classified under the name Tristania. The most commonly cultivated species is the Brisbane Box or Brush Box (Lophostemon confertus), which is widely grown in warm-temperate to tropical areas.
