A page of stock pictures of sweet gums (genus Liquidambar). There are 4 species in this genus and they are spread widely over the temperate Northern Hemisphere. They are known mainly for their vivid autumn foliage, which is among the brightest of any of the deciduous trees, especially that of Liquidambar styraciflua from the eastern United States. In mild climates the coloured leaves can remain on the trees well into winter.
