Corynocarpus - Karaka

A page of stock pictures of karaka (genus Corynocarpus). While there are 4 species in this genus, only one, Corynocarpus laevigata from coastal New Zealand, is widely cultivated. It is an evergreen tree with large, leathery, oval leaves and sprays of small yellow green flowers that are followed by conspicuous ovoid drupes. The fruit turns to orange-brown when ripe.
