Arbutus - Strawberry Tree
A page of stock pictures of strawberry trees (genus Arbutus). Arbutus is a member of the erica family and this is most apparent in the flowers, which closely resemble those of Pieris and Enkianthus. The genus is made up of around 14 species of evergreen trees and shrubs found in North America, Europe and western Asia. They are seldom without a few flowers, though spring is the main blooming period. The flowers are followed by soft warty fruits that are usually deep yellow, orange or red when ripe.
