Abies - Fir
A page of stock pictures of Fir trees (genus Abies). Found in the northern temperate zones and the highlands of Central America, Abies is a genus of around 50 evergreen coniferous trees. They have short, narrow, usually blunt leaves that are often deep green above and silvery white below. Their seed cones stand erect, often in clusters, and in many species they are a beautiful purple-blue colour. The pollen cones can be attractive in bud.
