Wallis Tractors
Stock photos of Wallis tractors. Henry Wallis's Wallis Tractor Company produced its first tractor, "The Bear", in 1912. At the time Wallis was also president of the J.I. Case Plow Works (as distinct from Case Tractors) and moved his tractor manufacture from Cleveland to Wisconsin to be able to utilise the Case facilities. Massey Harris became the Wallis agent in Canada and in 1928 Wallis sold the operation to Massey Harris. The distinctive Wallis U-shaped chassis then served as the basis for some of the M-H models in the 1930s, such as the Challenger and the Pacemaker.
