Oliver Tractors
Stock photos of Oliver tractors. The Oliver Farm Equipment Sales Company was formed in 1929 in a merger of Hart-Parr, Nichols and Shepard, the American Seeding Machine Company and the Oliver Chilled Plow Company — quite a conglomerate. The new company was soon producing a new line of tractors but did not really meet with great success until the introduction of the row crop Model 70 in October 1935. The company acquired Cletrac in 1944 and consequently produced several tracked machines. In 1960 Oliver, along with Cockshutt and Minneapolis Moline, was taken over by the White Motor Corporation and became part of White Farm Equipment, which in 1993 became part of AGCO Corporation.
