Deutz-Fahr Tractors
A page of stock pictures of Deutz-Fahr tractors. Nikolaus Otto, co-founder of Deutz with Eugen Langen, made one of the first four stroke internal combustion engines and demonstrated it in 1867. The company introduced its first tractor in 1907 and was a pioneer of diesel tractors in the 1920s. Deutz was supplying Fahr with tractor engines before WWII but did not acquire the company until 1946. In the 1980s Deutz-Fahr bought into Steiger and acquired Allis Chalmers to form Deutz-Allis, which later became part of AGCO. In 1997 Deutz-Fahr merged with Same to form the Same Deutz Fahr Group.
