Coleonema
Stock photos of plants of the genus Coleonema, a South African genus of 8 species of evergreen shrubs often confused with Diosma. Two species and several cultivars are commonly grown. Coleonema album, which is often sold as Diosma ericoides, has small needle-like leaves and tiny white starry flowers in spring. As with all Coleonema the bush is spicily aromatic. Coleonema pulchrum is more common. It is very similar to Coleonema album but has slightly softer foliage and pink flowers. Several forms are cultivated with white or deeper pink flowers. 'Sunset Gold' is a very popular form with bright yellow foliage and light pink flowers in spring. It is more compact than the species and usually grows as a flat topped bush or ground cover. It may reach 70cm high × 1.5m wide. All Coleonema forms withstand trimming to shape.
