Buxus - Box, Boxwood
Stock photos of Box or Boxwood (plants of the genus Buxus), a group of around 70 species of evergreen shrubs and small trees found from mainly southern Europe to temperate East Asia. Species also occur in Africa and in Central America and the Caribbean, though these are rarely cultivated. Perhaps best known for its uses as topiary and hedging, for which it has been popular for hundreds of years, Box is easily grown and adaptable, though not spectacular. In many large gardens it is used really as a form of green wallpaper to define planted areas or lawns and to act as a backdrop for showier plants. Box has small yellow-green flowers followed by tiny dry fruits.
