Breeds of which we have 5 or more photos, such as Merino, are listed as subcategories on their own image pages. Breeds of which we have only a few images are listed in the Other Sheep Breeds category. There are also subcategories covering various aspects of sheep farming, such as lambing and fleeces.
These pictures cover mainly temperate climate sheep breeds. Most of the photos were taken in New Zealand, where sheep are almost always raised on grass in fields. There are very few feedlots and sheep are seldom overwintered indoors.
