Pyramid Valley 4WD Rally

On Sunday, April 23, 2006, around 120 vehicles took part in a 4-wheel drive rally from the Weka Pass to Pyramid Valley in North Canterbury, New Zealand. This area is known for its spectacular scenery, featuring very long views over the Canterbury Plains around Waipara and Harwarden and for its limestone rock formations. Pyramid Valley is the site of one of the richest finds of moa bones, which were located in a swamp at the foot of the valley.
