Hymenosporum - Australian Frangipani
Stock photos of Australian Frangipani (Hymenosporum flavum), the sole species in its genus. Found along the coast from northern New South Wales to the north of Cape York Peninsula, Australia, it is an evergreen large shrub or tree quite closely related to Pittosporum. Able to tolerate light frosts, in tropical regions it may reach 25m tall but seldom exceeds 10m in temperate climate gardens. It has lush, glossy green foliage and in spring produces an abundance of sweetly scented, 5-petalled flowers that are cream on opening then darken to yellow with age.
