Dieffenbachia - Dumb Cane
Stock photos of plants of the genus Dieffenbachia, which is made up of 25 species of upright, cane-stemmed, evergreen perennials of the arum family (Araceae). Grown for their large and often boldly marked foliage, they are native to the American tropics and are sometimes known as Dumb Canes, a name given because if ingested the sap can paralyse the vocal chords. The white to cream spathe and spadix flowerheads and not really a feature but can be quite attractive.
