Acalypha - Red Cat's Tail
A page of stock photos of Red Cat's Tails or Chenille Plants (plants of the genus Acalypha). There are some 430 species of perennials, subshrubs, shrubs and trees in this almost entirely tropical genus that is centered around East Asia and the Pacific Islands. Some have spectacularly variegated foliage and all have impressively long, usually drooping spikes of flowers that are typically red but which may occur in all shades of pink and also white. They are popular garden plants in the tropics and warm subtropics, but house plants where frosts occur.
