Cortaderia
Stock photos of plants of the genus Cortaderia, which is made up of 24 species of large tussock-forming grasses from South America, New Guinea and New Zealand. The best known are the South America Pampas Grasses and the New Zealand species known as Toe Toe. They have strong, razor-edged leaves that can grow to over 2m long and impressive flower plumes on sturdy stems to 3m tall. These plumes remain after seed has set and are striking when seen en-masse, especially when backlit. Most are very easy plants to grow — far more difficult to remove — and may be slightly invasive.
