Glyptostrobus - Swamp Cypress
Stock photos of Swamp Cypress (Glyptostrobus pensilis), the sole species in its genus. This tall, narrow, deciduous conifer is a tree native to the swamps and river banks of southeastern China and northern Vietnam where it is now very rare in the wild, if not extinct. The tree is cultivated for its bright green spring and summer foliage, its attractive red-brown bark and bright orange-brown autumn foliage colour. Although deciduous it is not especially hardy and can be damaged by late frosts.
