Ensete - Ethiopian Banana
Stock photos of Ethiopian Banana (plants of the genus Ensete), a group of 7 sturdy-stemmed, usually tree-like evergreen perennials form the Old World tropics. The leaves can be very large, typically 2-5m long and the stems, sometimes the entire foliage, is often red-brown tinted. The flowerheads produce small bananas but these are dry and inedible. The main cultivated species is Ensete ventricosum, which is flushed purple-red all-over and is usually grown as a short-term foliage accent for flower beds or indoor displays.
