Embothrium - Chilean Firebush
Stock photos of Chilean Firebush (plants of the genus Embothrium), a group of 8 species of evergreen shrubs and trees found in South America from the central Andes southwards. They are members of the protea family (Proteaceae) and are renowned for their vividly coloured yellow, orange or red flowerheads. The best known species and the only one to be widely cultivated is Embothrium coccineum, a Chilean species with flaming orange-red flowers in spring to early summer.
