Echium
Stock photos of plants of the genus Echium, a group of 40 species of annuals, perennials and subshrubs found in Europe (mainly around the Mediterranean), Africa, western Asia and the Canary Islands. They are a very variable lot ranging from plants just a few centimetres high to those with flower spikes over 2m tall, but they share some features, such as downy or hairy foliage and small blue, pink or white flowers in spikes. Some species have become widely naturalised and may be local weeds.
