Dracunculus - Dragon Lily
Stock photos of Dragon Lily (plants of the genus Dracunculus), a group of three species of arum family (Araceae) lilies found around the Mediterranean as well as on Madeira and the Canary Islands. In common with many aroids that are fly-pollinated, their large spathe and spadix flowers are a purple-red (rotting meat) shade and have a rather unpleasant smell. That aside, they are striking plants that also have bold foliage and are well worth a place in a partly shaded perennial border.
