Datura - Angel's Trumpet
Stock photos of Angel's Trumpet or Thorn Apple (plants of the genus Datura), a group of 8 species of annuals or short-lived perennials from southern North America, Central America and southern Eurasia. The genus was once considerably larger, but for the woody plants formerly known as Datura, please see Brugmansia. They have large soft leaves and long trumpet-shaped flowers that can be fragrant. Some Datura species, such as Jimson Weed (Datura stromonium) are commercially important weeds that may infest cotton and other crops. Others, however, are grown as ornamentals, and the garden cultivars encompass a range of flower colours and forms, including doubles.
