Darmera - Umbrella Plant
Stock photos of Umbrella Plant (Darmera peltata), a genus of just one species, a rhizomatous spring-flowering perennial native to the western United States. In spring, before the foliage appears, it develops sturdy flower stems up to 2m tall that carry heads of small, starry, white to bright pink flowers. The leaves that develop as the flowers age are nearly round, toothed, lobed and up to 60cm across. Darmera peltata prefers constantly moist conditions and is usually at its best growing in pond margins.
