Grapes - Vitis
A page of stock pictures of grapes (genus Vitis), both plants and fruit. Grapes are an important crop, both for the production of wine or juice and the production of table grapes for consumption as fresh fruit. There 65 species in the genus Vitis, but few produce fruit suitable for human consumption. The most important wine and table grape is Vitis vinifera, which is available in a huge range of cultivars. The Fox Grape (Vitis labrusca) and several other species are used in very limited quantities for local wine production.
