Coriaria - Tutu
Stock photos of Tutu (plants of the genus Coriaria), which is a widespread group of around 30 species of perennials, shrubs and small trees. Most are toxic in all parts and their have been cases of poisoning, often fatal, when stock have grazed on the foliage or people have eaten the fruits. The foliage is usually pinnate or frond-like and the clusters of small greenish flower, while not particularly showy are followed by glossy black purple or red berry-like fruits. While seldom deliberately cultivated, the combination of lush foliage and shiny fruit means that some species are tolerated as garden plants when they occur naturally. Others are considered to be weeds, especially in farming areas where there is a risk of stock poisoning.
