Clerodendrum
Clerodendrum is a genus that includes a widely variable range of both evergreen and deciduous shrubs and climbers. There are around 400 species, found mainly in the Asian and African tropics and subtropics, with a few species extending into the temperate zones, especially in Japan and nearby parts of China. Many are very beautiful plants with interesting flowers that often have a calyx and corolla in two strongly contrasting colours. The small fruits that follow the flowers can be showy too and the leaves are often large and attractive.
