Chionochloa - Snow Grasses
Stock photos of Snow Grasses (plants of the genus Chionochloa), a group of 19 species of grasses all but one of which, a southeast Australian native, come from New Zealand. They forms a dense tussock of fine, often yellowish to bronze green foliage and produce large plumes of flowers on wiry stems that extend above the foliage clump, rather resembling a miniature Pampas Grass (Cortaderia). These easily grown, hardy and evergreen grasses are very graceful and attractive, especially when in flower.
