Ceratostigma - Chinese Plumbago
Stock photos of Chinese Plumbago (plants of the genus Ceratostigma), a group of 8 species of perennials, subshrubs or shrubs found from northeastern Africa through the Himalayas to central China and Southeast Asia. Two species are commonly the cultivated: Ceratostigma plumbaginoides, which is a spreading herbaceous perennial or subshrub, and Ceratostigma willmottianum, which is a 50cm-1m tall, wiry-stemmed, deciduous shrub. Both produce masses of bright to deep blue flower in summer to early autumn and C. willmottianum also often develops red autumn foliage tones.
