Celosia - Cockscomb
Stock photos of Cockscomb (plants of the genus Celosia), a group of around 50 species of annuals and perennials that are widespread in the tropics. They are best known in cultivation for Celosia cristata, which is commonly cultivated as a summer annual. Their main attraction is their flowerheads, which are composed of hundreds of minute blooms and may be erect and plume-like or in a cristate mass resembling a cockerel's comb. The flowers are commonly in golden yellow, orange or red and the foliage and stems is also tinted with the same colour as the flowers. There are two less common types: one with globose flowerheads, the other with very narrow flower spikes.
