Murray Grey Cattle
Stock photos of Murray Grey cattle, a breed developed in Australia in the early 1900s from Angus stock , this versatile beef breed originated from Angus bull stock crossed with a particular shorthorn cow that would produce a grey calf. From these few animals the breed was slowly established until being shown in public for the first time in 1959. The Murray Grey matures early, being able to be mated at 12 month old, and produces lean, uniformly marbled meat. In addition to purebred herds it is quite widely used in cross-breeding.
