Sansevieria
Stock photos of plants of the genus Sansevieria, which occurs in the tropics and subtropics from Africa, including Madagascar, to India and is composed of around 70 species of evergreen perennials with rosettes of stiff, upright, often sword-shaped, semi-succulent leaves. The species are known variously as bowstring hemp because of the strong fibres that the foliage yields, or less flatteringly, in the case of the long-leafed forms, as mother-in-law's tongue. Many of the garden cultivars have bold variegated, mottled and/or striped foliage.
