Many of the bulbs, corms and tubers are among the best-known plants and the spring bulbs in particular have special appeal as the appearance of the likes of daffodils and crocuses is a welcome sign that winter will soon be over. Genera of which we have 3 or more pictures, such as Tulipa (tulips), are listed as subcategories on their own image pages as shown below. The autumn bulbs are equally attractive but perhaps less widely appreciated as they hint at the return of cooler weather.
