Woolsheds

A selection of stock pictures of woolsheds or shearing sheds. Today most New Zealand sheep farms have their own shearing facilities but in earlier times large shearing sheds were often used by several surrounding farms and could become something like a community hall, being a site for meetings, dances, weddings and other functions. While today's woolsheds are far more business-like, some of the old buildings remain.
