Brachyglottis
Including many of the New Zealand species that were formerly classified under Senecio, this genus of daises from New Zealand (including the Chatham Islands) and Tasmania is mainly composed of shrub and small trees but also includes some perennials and scrambling sub-shrubs. Their foliage is variably shaped but is often felted, especially on the undersides. The flowerheads are usually white, cream or yellow, opening in summer, and they can be very abundant. Some species do particularly well in coastal gardens.
