Arisarum
Stock photos of plants of the genus Arisarum, which is part of the arum family (Araceae) and made up of three species found around the Mediterranean and on the Canaries and the Azores. They have a tuberous or rhizomatous rootstock and form clumps of arrowhead-shaped foliage that often partly conceals the small, hooded flowerheads, which usually have a brown and white spathe that encloses the spadix. Two of the species, Arisarum proboscideum and Arisarum vulgare are popular for naturalising in woodland gardens.
