Anigozanthos - Kangaroo Paw
Stock photos of Kangaroo Paw (plants of the genus Anigozanthos), a group of 11 species of evergreen, spear-leaved perennials native to western Australia. They produce erect, long-stemmed, branching flowerheads with tubular flowers that have a velvety texture and which occur in some striking and vivid colour combinations. Due to their drought tolerance, much work has recently been done to increase the flower colour range, hardiness and ease of cultivation. These are not plants for damp, cold or poorly drained spots and they are prone to a particular fungal disease, known as inkspot, that blackens and eventually destroys the foliage.
