Stock Photo: Llama Nose and Mouth Image ID CFG9271

Picture: The nose and mouth of a llama (Lama glama), showing how the entire area is hair-covered, which is presumably protection against the cold and the intense ultra-violet light in the natural alpine environment. Native to the Andes, these distant relatives of camels were domesticated in Peru up to 6000 years ago. Sometimes used as pack animals, they are farmed for their high quality fleece.
