Camellia 'Captain Rawes', a widely grown old Reticulata cultivar that dates from around 1820, when it was introduced to European cultivation from China by Captain Rawes of the East India Company. Although its flowers are sterile, it has had an important place in camellia breeding as a grafting stock.
