Black Alloplectus (Nautilocalyx lynchii), an evergreen Colombian shrub often grown as a house plant in temperate areas. It grows to around 60cm tall and while its maroon-spotted pale yellow flowers are attractive it is cultivated mainly for its lush dark foliage.
