Two seedling Turkey Oaks (Quercus cerris) with the remnants of the acorns from which they germinated, epitomising the saying 'mighty oaks from little acorns grow'. The Turkey Oak is a deciduous tree, up to 40m tall, native to central and southern Europe and western Asia.
