Rhododendron ciliicalyx, a slightly fragrant species formerly often used in hybridising. It develops into a large shrub or small tree and is sometimes epiphytic in the wild. It is closely allied to Rhododendron dendricola and is native to Yunnan, Szechwan, south-eastern Tibet and north-eastern Burma.
