Stock Photo: Walnut - Japanese Image ID CFGg918

The young foliage and flower of the Japanese Walnut or Heartnut (Juglans ailantifolia [often spelt ailanthifolia]), a 15m tall deciduous tree native to Japan and Sakhalin Island. The foliage is pinnate and usually around 50cm long. The nuts are edible and the wood, while not of the very high quality of some walnuts, is used to make furniture.
