Picture: Caraway (Carum carvi), an aromatic Eurasian biennial that is cultivated primarily for its seed, which are widely used as a flavouring. The foliage and roots are also edible and the plant has been made extensive use of in folk medicines. Caraway grows 75-100cm tall and flowers in late spring to early summer.
