Stock Photo: Mikania dentata Image ID CFGe977

The foliage of Mikania dentata (syn. Mikania ternata), an evergreen vine native to central and southern Brazil. In temperate climates it is most often seen grown as a house plant. The effect is rather like Kangaroo Vine (Cissus), but Mikania is in the daisy family while Cissus belongs with the grapes. The small white and yellow flowerheads are not especially significant and the plant is mainly grown for its foliage, being trained on a frame or allowed to cascade in a hanging basket.
