The flowers of the Cucumber Tree (Magnolia acuminata), a 30m tall deciduous tree from eastern North America. The distinctive yellow flowers are often so high in the tree that they pass unnoticed. Several yellow-flowered cultivars have been developed from this species. The common name refers to the fruit.
