Rhododendron kendrickii, an irroratum series species native to Bhutan, southeastern Tibet and northern India and found at up to 2800m altitude. It is an early-flowering, 2-3m tall shrub with variably coloured bell-shaped flowers that range from mid pink through crimson to scarlet, usually with conspicuous darker spotting. The flower trusses can carry over 15 blooms.
