A Coopworth ewes suckling her twin lambs in early spring. The Coopworth breed, developed at Lincoln College, New Zealand in the 1950s and 60s, is a Border Leicester/Romney cross that is very popular for its meat and its coarse wool which is used for carpets and heavy clothing.
