Picture: Freesia cultivars, florists' freesias are a complex group of hybrids mainly derived from Freesia alba, Freesia corymbosa, Freesia refracta and Freesia leichtlinii, all southern African species. While the golden yellow forms is the best-known, they occur in a wide range of shades and also in double-flowered forms. They are long-flowering corms that are widely grown as cut flowers and for their fragrance.
